This rustic, one-piece snip is made of forged black steel and now comes with a natural, vegetable-tanned leather point protector to keep both you and the snip protected while not in use. Please note these are snips, not scissors, and they are imperfectly hand-forged. I rarely use the split ring stitch markers. Lately, though, I am working on a tunisian crochet scarf and need a few split rings to help me edge properly. The cocoknits rings are SO MUCH BETTER. They are metal, so bending is rare. They slide easily onto my yarn without any trouble, particularly if my yarn is splitty. Lastly, as they are magnetic, I can keep a couple handy at all times on magnet I have in my notions box, close at hand. They don't fall out and are easily moved when I want to move them, not when they get bumped around in my bag. That's the point, right?
