This rustic, one-piece snip is made of forged black steel and now comes with a natural, vegetable-tanned leather point protector to keep both you and the snip protected while not in use. Please note these are snips, not scissors, and they are imperfectly hand-forged. They have a nice heft in the hand, and the good news is that no one is going to borrow them from your knitting kit - they are really only good for snipping yarn! When not in use, the snip sticks to the Knitter's Keep.

What's not to love? In principle, these are comparable to any other ring stitch marker, but in fact, the attention to detail on the color, material, manufacturing, and packaging sparks joy every time use them, touch them, or even just look at them nestled in their adorable miniature cardboard tube box. The colors are many and saturated the material is smooth and stiff yet light as air the container is fabulous, sturdy, durable, stable, andâ€though I'm not likely to part with it willinglyâ€recyclable.
It's adorable, pretty, magnetic, and looks cool, but exposing one gauge to check a needle size is not as easy as it looks and, if you misjudged the first gauge, it's not any easier to expose the next gauge. It's not expensive, so it's worth the price as a toy, but for utility, a flat plate needle gauge is quicker and easier to use.
The triangle stitch markers are the best to keep YO's where they belong. These are metal, so a magnet hooks keep them in place. Wish I could buy them individually.
