These markers are a joy to use. They are sturdy, colorful enameled markers with no cuts or ragged edges to snag on your stitches. They add a little fun with very little weight and there are LOTS of them in the package, so you have plenty to mix, match, and use for most any project. I would definitely buy these again and will get them for friends and family who knit.
The key word in this description is rustic. The metal is jagged and feels unfinished. The blades scape against each other to make a sound that feels like nails on a chalkboard to me. Maybe I got a dud pair, Idk...but I'm pretty disappointed in this purchase.
I was addicted to row counters when I first started knitting, which is to say that I've tried them all, owned them all, and have ultimately discarded them all...for this one. The clicker is easy to press, doesn't make a lot of noise, the rotary number dials advance smoothly and center the number directly under the magnification lens, so they're unmistakeable to read, and it locks : If you have a knitter's keep bracelet this is a great addition to the set. But even if you don't, this is an awesome little counter to have in your notions bag. Bonus: it comes with an adorable little drawstring pouch for safe keeping!
The first time I used these the paint on many of them chipped off. If you want to use these colorful stitch markers I would suggest that you avoid metal needles.
