This rustic, one-piece snip is made of forged black steel and now comes with a natural, vegetable-tanned leather point protector to keep both you and the snip protected while not in use. Please note these are snips, not scissors, and they are imperfectly hand-forged. They have a nice heft in the hand, and the good news is that no one is going to borrow them from your knitting kit - they are really only good for snipping yarn! I use these stitch markers for corners as well as counting. They are a helpful tool for me. I like to crochet blankets and I have a large family, so my stitch markers get plenty of use!
These stitch markers are really great because they're thin, multicolored and don't interfere with the stitch sizes/spacing. My only complaint is that you need to make sure the thin end doesn't end up tangled in your yarn it's hard to get them out once they're in.

Not nearly as nice as the original metal ones (3 out of 5)
While these are fine,, they are thinner than the originals and do not have a smooth finish like the original version. I was very partial to the original ones so find these disappointing. The only improvement is the additional colors, which are lovely.
