Koigu Patterns

The Ice Cube Scarf/Cowl is made up of 3 rows of 26 crocheted blocks per row, 78 squares in total. Leave ends open for scarf or join for cowl. Squares can be joined as you go or stitched together at the end. This scarf uses a Koigu paint can, or knit with 435 yards of your favorite colors of Koigu KPPPM.

The Snow Wave Fingerless Mitts are a textural project that shows off the color variations in KPPPM. The mitts are knit flat, and worked back and forth using short rows. A great project for an intermediate knitter wanting to practice techniques.

Helical knitting is easier than it sounds - it just means that the beginning of round shifts to avoid obvious color changes. This painterly wrap consists of a modular mitered rectangle - it's knitted in two halves that are then sewn together. There's a handy color chart in the pattern that helps you to plot out your colors, or you can just have fun and wing it! This project is worked entirely in garter stitch, too - no purling!
